Op naar ronde 4!

Want ja, ik ben door de derde ronde van de wedstrijd op het Doll's forum. Leuk!!!!!
Er zijn nog 14 mensen over. Het wordt nu dus echt spannend.

De nieuwe opdracht:

Maak een layout (12x12 of 8,5 x 11) GEEN SPREAD, gebruik hierbij 10 soorten patroon papier....JA TIEN! Niet makkelijk?! Inderdaad maar we zijn hier ook niet om het jullie makkelijk te maken Wel hebben we jullie bij deze een dag extra gegeven. Hebben jullie vast nodig om hier over te brainstormen. Hebben we toch nog een beetje medelijden met jullie 

En weer een layout:

Gemaakt met de materialen uit de envelop van Marlies . Toen ik de envelop binnenkreeg wist ik meteen welke foto ik er bij wilde gebruiken.
En ... er zat een stukje vilt bij, dus ik heb voor de eerste keer vilt gestansd. Leuk om te doen en ook het resultaat bevalt me (wel lastig om ze heel op de layout te krijgen..)

Make a lauout (not a spread) with on it 10 different kinds of patterend papers. Yes... ten. Not easy? Indeed, but we're not here to make it easy for you. We have given you a day extra. You probably need it to think about this...

And I made another layout.
With the stuff of the envelop of Marlies .When I get the envelop I immediatly know wich picture I would use.
And... there was a bit of felt with it so I made diecutletters with it, for the very first time. Nice to do that and the results I find lovely (it was however difficult to get them on the layout in one piece..).
So Marlies, thanks for the challenge!

Schaatspret

Deze layout gaat over het schaatsen op 30 december op de ijsbaan bij het Spoorwegmuseum.

SSC E-mail

Gisteravond kreeg ik een email van mijn Seasonal suprise club buddy. Geen idee wie het is, want ze heeft een speciaal account aangemaakt, met daarin mijn naam als afzender... Goed bedacht!!
Ik vond het erg leuk om deze mail te krijgen en het maakt alles nog spannender.

Volgens mij heb ik zooooooo geboft met mijn buddy!

* Edit: Monique: Nee we hebben dus niet elkaar als buddy. Iedereen heeft via een PB een buddy gekregen en je weet van elkaar dus niet wie wie heeft. Geeft het wel een extra dimensie, vind ik! Alleen, de kans dat diegene die ik heb, snel weet dat ik het ben is erg groot. Verzenden vanuit Nederland blijft geen geheim hé? ;)

* Edit: Monique, No we don't have each other as buddy. By PM everone has gotten the name of her buddy and you don't know from each other who you have. Does give it an extra dimension, I think! But the change that the one who I got, knows very soon who I am, is very big. Sending from the Netherlands can't be a secret long time he? ;)

Good afternoon/morning/evening my new buddy! I bet it was kind of a shock to get an email from yourself! lol But I couldn't put my OWN name in or you would know me right away! lol So it has your name as the sender and the receiver, but I control the account. Make sense? So you can just hit reply to my messages or if you wanted to send your own - you would send it to........ Hope that makes sense!

I've been reading up on you, young lady, and wow, it sounds like we have a lot in common! You do beautiful work (what I've seen on the board and your blog) and well, I'm certainly not there yet, but there are other things we have in common - gotta love that!

I know you are in The Nederlands and I'm in the US but I specifically asked for someone overseas - maybe there were going to be people that wouldn't want to take the two extra simple steps to mail globally. Yes, it's a little bit more but hey, now I'll have a new friend in a new country!!! woohooo!!!

I've been trying to keep track of all the messages, and I need to go back and write everything down so I'm really sure of the likes/dislikes kind of stuff. I "know" a lot of people are saying "whatever is fine" but I've been in these kinds of swaps before and let's say "I don't like Disney" and the first package is all Disney. It really makes your heart drop and your excitement a little less because OBVIOUSLY that person didn't bother to read your likes/dislikes and I DON'T want that to happen here! I want you to be OOOOOOOOHHHHH it's almost time for a package and I know I'll love it kind of thing! lol

From your blog or maybe from a post, I think I remember that you do have SB stores near you? Is that right? Do they have all the latest and greatest or is it harder to find a lot of certain things you might want?

Trust me - I LOVE LOVE LOVE lists - then I can pick and choose and really know that I got you things you WANT and you WANT to USE! So feel free to email me whenever you think of something - even something small (ie colored staples lol) and then it's on my list! I think the only thing that I really can't send is anything larger than 8.5x11 and if it's that big then it's gotta be kinda thin. There's 2 more box sizes so lots of small stuff can fit in those. So while I would love to send Bazzill, etc. I think that would make the shipping be waaaay too much :) Well, actually I could send 12x12 just it would be by surface post and lordy lordy that could take 6 weeks or so - global priority is much easier!!! But hey, if Bazzill (or other 12x12 is what you REALLY want, I'll make it happen! :)

So I hope you are having a nice day today, I've been under the weather the last few days so right now I'm lying in bed with the laptop (gotta love wireless!) Hopefully I will feel better soon - I hate being sick! Luckily no germs can get through a computer! Viruses yes, but no germs. LOLOLOL Oh, I crack myself up sometimes. HEHE

I guess that's enough for email #1 - hopefully you will enjoy being able to "talk" directly to me this way, then you won't have to worry about whether or not I saw a post! lol

Er is weer een nieuwe envelop binnen. Marlies heeft 'm deze keer verstuurd.

Ik vind 'm erg leuk! Voor mij weer eens heel ander papier dan ik normaal gebruik. Dat maakt dit ook steeds weer een uitdaging. Ga maar eens zoeken in mijn foto's wat ik hiermee ga doen!

In de envelop zat ook nog 'ruilmateriaal'. Marlies vroeg op het forum om Crate papier, de Holiday-lijn. Die had ik liggen en ik had het gevoel dat ik er niets mee ging doen. Dus heb ik die naar haar opgestuurd. En dit kreeg ik er voor terug:

Echt veel te veel voor 4 velletjes Cratepapier. Maar wel heel erg leuk. Ben er erg blij mee!

Again there is a envelop for the game! Marlies send it this time.
I like waht's in it very much. To me a totally different kind of paper than I normally use. That's what makes this a challenge! I'm going to dig in my pictures to find the perfect one(s).

In the envelop there was also swap material. Marlies asked on the messageboard for Cratepaper, the holiday-line. In my closet it was laying around and I didn't think that I would use it. So I send it to her. And that's what I get back (last picture).
Far too much for 4 pieces of Crate paper. But I like it very much! Thanks Marlies!!

Dat al je wensen uit mogen komen!

Wij hebben hele gezellige dagen gehad. Vanaf zaterdag zijn we bij Rogier en Desiree geweest. Zij kwamen ons zaterdag ophalen voor een dagje naar het Spoorwegmuseum. Deze was helemaal in Winterstation sfeer. Erg leuk en zeker aan te raden!

Er was een ijsbaan waar je zo op kon. Daar hebben we dus gekeken wat er van onze schaatskunsten over was gebleven.... Nou ja, we bleven staan. Kevin en Quinn hebben voor de eerste keer van hun leven geschaatst. Een hele belevenis.

Na deze heerlijke dag zijn we bij Rogier en Desi blijven slapen.
De volgende dag (oudjaarsdag) hebben we gezellig geluncht bij de ouders van Desiree. 's Middags gingen de kids naar de film. Desiree en ik besloten om ook te gaan. Maar dan naar Kruistocht in spijkerbroek. Erg leuk, die film. Lang geleden dat ik het boek heb gelezen. Ga 'm deze week eens even opzoeken op zolder!

's Avonds vierden we oud- en nieuw bij hen. Ook dat was een gezellige avond. Jammer van de regen waardoor het vuurwerk afsteken iets minder leuk was. We hadden wel erg mooi vuurwerk!

We had very nice days. Starting Saterday!
We went to the Spoorwegmuseum (a museum with trains) with Rogier, Desiree and the kids. That was all in Winter Station look. Very much fun and a recommandation!

There was a ice skating place. We tried if we still could skate.... We stayed standing up, but that's all. Kevin and Quinn skaetd for the first time in their lives. Excitting!

After this lovely day we stayed at Rogier and Desi's house for a sleep over.
On the last day of the year we've lunched at the house of Desi's parents. In the afternoon the boys went to the movies. Desiree and I decided to go too. We went to 'Kruistocht in spijkerbroek' (Crusade in Jeans). Very good movie! It's a long time ago a read the book. Have to search in at the attic.

Then we celabrated Oud- en nieuw (newyears-eve) with them. That was also a very nice evening. It was a shame it rained cats and dogs. The firework was very beautiful this year, but ligthing it was not nice because of the weather..
