Op 20 september a.s doe ik mee aan de van Dam tot Damloop. Nee... niet de hele marahon, maar, voor mijn eerste loop, de Womens Win Damloop van 4 EM (=6.4 km). Ik ben dan ook hard aan het trainen. Niet zozeer op tijd, maar vooral op uithoudingsvermogen.
Ik loop de 4 mile op dit moment zonder problemen. Dus de komende tijd kijken of er nog een beetje versnelling in zit.
Ik ga lopen samen met mijn zusje Regina. Dit kunnen we hé Regien?!

Women Win Damloop
Op 20 september 2009 doe ik mee aan de Women Win Damloop.
Hiermee steun ik direct weesmeisjes in Zimbabwe, die hun ouders zijn verloren aan o.a armoede en HIV/AIDS, en die nu volledig verantwoordelijk zijn voor hun broertjes en zusjes.
Door middel van sport voelen deze meisjes zich weer even kind. Tevens maakt sport hen fysiek sterker, vergroot hun zelfvertrouwen en maakt hen weerbaarder in een land waar armoede, geweld en corruptie oneindig is.
Women Win ondersteunt dit project, en door jouw deelname aan de Women Win Damloop, draag jij direct bij aan een beter leven voor meisjes in Zimbabwe.
Het hele sponsorbedrag wordt gedoneerd aan Stichting Women Win.

-- basically just have fun!

London
Ik ontving afgelopen zaterdag (dinsdag verstuurd vanuit Canada!) mijn eerste ribbonkit van Sassy 'N Sassy Love ‘n lollipops en ik was er echt super blij mee. Want deze kit past prima bij mijn foto's van London.
Dus.. ik zocht een foto uit die voor mij zegt: Dit is London! en maakte deze layout.

**I received my first kit from Savvy 'N Sassy this month and boy was I happy with Love ‘n lollipops! It’s a kit that fits right in with my pictures of London.
So I picked a picture that says for me: “This is London” and made this layout.

Ik heb ze niet in gebruik gezien, anders dan door toeristen die foto's maakten.
