AAM challenge #3: Pigeon-holed / verkeerd begrepen

De 3e AAM challenge!

Pigeonhole:
1. A small compartment or recess, as in a desk, for holding papers; a cubbyhole.
2. A specific, often oversimplified category.
3. The small hole or holes in a pigeon loft for nesting.

Pigeonholed:
1. Placed or filed in a small compartment or recess.
2. claissified mentally; categorize.
3. Put aside and ignored; shelved.

For October's first challenge we'd like you to do a little thinking; a little soul searching and a little creation that's straight from the heart. We want to know -

Do you ever feel as though you've been pigeon-holed? Categorised? Labelled? Misunderstood? As though you've changed, but no-one else sees it? Who does everyone think you are? Who do you really think you are? Are they the same?

There's a lot to think about and I know that this may seem like a difficult challenge at first, but to help you along we're introducing a monthly sketch which you can use to jumpstart your layouts this month. Or not. The choice is entirely your own!

This month's fabulous sketch is courtesy of scrapsketch. There'll be a new one next month, just to keep things new and exciting.

Voor deze uitdaging heb ik een transparant miniboekje gemaakt. Elke bladzijde is 10-10 cm (4-4 inch).

Voor elke pagina heb ik de sketch gebruikt.

Mijn boekje heet Strong; Drop that mask!

** For this challenge I made a transparent minibook. Each page is 10-10 cm (4-4 inch).

For each page I used the sketch.

My book is called Strong; Drop that mask!

Sterk en zelfverzekerd, dat is hoe de "wereld" mij ziet.
Maar... ben ik dat echt?
Het is het masker dat ik vaak opzet, om te verbergen hoe ik me echt voel.
En ja dan is 't voor de wereld moeilijk om mijn echte ik te zien....

** Strong and self assured, that's how the "world" sees me. 

But... am I really?

It is the mask that I put up, to disquiss how I really feel.

And yes, then it is hard to the world to see my real me.....

Mijn piekerende kant laat ik alleen zien bij de mensen van wie ik hou.

** My pondering side I only show to people I love.

Als ik verdrietig ben, kunnen mensen als ze goed kijken, dat wel aan me zien.

Maar de echte reden?

Die vertel ik meestal niet. Ik krop het op.

** If I'm sad, people can see it, if they look good.

But the real reason? 

That I normally don't tell. I keep it all in.

Ik ben regelmatig onzeker. Zeker over mijn eigen kunnen!

**I'm insecure. Certainly about what my capibilities.!

Dat masker moet dus af!

De mensen mogen zien hoe ik me voel.

**So, that mask need to go down!
People around me can and may see how I feel.

Libel

Omdat ik graag mooie foto's wilde hebben van de libel, heb ik een wit laken opgehangen buiten, de libel daar op en voor gezet en foto's gemaakt.
De achtergrond is nu heel eenvoudig te verwijderen en dit is het resultaat:

**Cause I wanted to have beautiful pics of the dragon-fly, I have hung a white sheet outside, put the dragon-fly on and before it and made some pics.

The background is now very easy to delete and this is the result:

Pappa en mamma waren hier afgelopen woensdag en ze vinden de libel erg mooi. Veel mooier dan verwacht en gedroomd. Er vloeiden wat traantjes, ook bij mij!
We hebben besloten dat de libel thuis, bij pappa en mamma komt te staan. En dat gaan we doen op 15 oktober, de dag dat Alex 40 geworden zou zijn.

** Mom and dad were here last Wednesday and they love the Dragon-fly. Much more beautiful then excepted and dreamed off. So there were some tears, also from me!

We decided that the dragon-fly gets a place at home, with mom and dad. And we gonna do that at Ocotober 15, the day Alex would had become 40.

In the Garden

Een nieuwe uitdaging van SPCC #17! Ik vind de kleuren uitdagingen erg leuk. Is weer eens iets heel anders. Beginnen vanuit de kleuren, in plaats van, zoals ik normaal doe, vanuit de foto's.
Dit zijn de kleuren van deze week:

Bo, ons nichtje was een dagje bij ons en vermaakte zich prima met boekjes voorlezen, beestjes zoeken, kijken bij Hans in de tuin, naar het bos etc. Een gezellig dagje!

** Bo, our niece was a day staying with us and she enjoyed herself with getting books read to her, searching for little animals, looking at Hans while he was busy in tyhe garden, going to the wood, etc. A cosy day!
