One Little Word 2016

This year I'm participating in the One Little Word workshop from Ali Edwards.
In December, while working on my December Daily, I started thinking about what my word would be.
First I thought it would be change, cause I want some changes in my life, regarding my work. But the word Create started to pop-up and asked to be seen. So Create it is!

This year I want

to Create a healthier life
to Create new opportunities for my career
to Create scrapbookpages

One little word March: Action!

Eindelijk! Hier is dan mijn layout van Maart voor One Little Word.

Het heeft even geduurd, maar.... dat had vooral te maken met het maken van de layout. De opdracht die er bij hoorde, heb ik wel meteen uitgevoerd.
Deze maand stond in het teken van ACTIE! Eén kleine actie met betrekking tot je woord.
Voor mij was deze actie om mijn woord LOVE nu eens op mezelf te richten, in plaats van op de mensen die ik lief heb.
Dus plande ik op mijn vrije woensdag elke week iets voor mezelf in. Iets waarvan ik ontspan en me beter voel. Even tijd en aandacht voor mezelf. Lekker fotograferen, scrappen, lezen of wandelen.

In de envelop onder de kalender zit deze journaling:

De eerste 2 maanden van dit jaar ben ik druk geweest met mijn woord Love. Ik vond het vooral belangrijk om mijn liefde voor mijn familie te laten zien in woord en daad. Dat is denk ik prima gelukt. Maar... daarbij ben ik toch 1 ding wel een beetje vergeten: mezelf lief te hebben!

Aan het begin van Maart wordt me dit pijnlijk duidelijk; ik heb een depressie. Zucht!

Alle liefde en aandacht is vooral naar pappa en mamma gegaan want die hadden het hard nodig. Maar voor mezelf heb ik te weinig tijd en aandacht ingebouwd. Gewoon doorgaan, ook al is het moeilijk en zwaar. De emoties rondom pappa’s ziekte kosten me veel energie, zeker de week van de voorjaarsvakantie als hij opgenomen wordt in het ziekenhuis met koortsaanvallen.

Mijn lichaam roept dus Stop!En hoe moeilijk ik dat ook vind, ik zal er naar moeten luisteren.

Het wordt me door de opdracht van Ali duidelijk dat ik liefde en aandacht voor mezelf moet hebben. Mijn actie voor deze maand moet mijzelf betreffen. Van mezelf houden en lief zijn voor mezelf is mijn opdracht. En ik denk dat dat best een lastige gaat zijn!

Sneeuwklokje

Ik ben gek op sneeuwklokjes. Als kind al. Toen ik als kabouter ze kreeg met Lord Baden Powelldag.

Dus als ik ze zie staan, kan ik er bijna niet aan voorbij lopen. En zeker niet nu ik dat hartje erin heb ontdekt...

Een kleine herinnering aan mijn woord: LOVE.

** I'm crazy from Snowdrops. From when I was little. When I was a scout I get them with Lord Baden Powellday. So if I see them, I can't walk on. And certainly not now I have discoverd the heart in it. That is a little reminder of my word LOVE.

Heart shaped world

Terwijl ik bezig was deze sneeuwklokjes op de foto te zetten, zag ik ineens het hartje dat er in zit. Wauw!
** While I was busy photographing the snowdrops, I suddenly saw the heart shape in it. Wow!

I have taken quit a lot of photo's for my word LOVE.

It was great to find all the heart shapes in nature. The world is full of love!

And then I was inspired to try somethings I saw on Flickr:

I would have loved to take pictures of my parents, but with my father being ill and in the hospital that didn't happen. But it is still on my list and will happen soon!

Cause that is what it is most important, the love for my family!

I have made quit a few layouts for my One Little Word album.

I just called & Proof!

Deze week heb ik 2 layouts gemaakt.Op het SA-forum werd een sketch geplaatst en deze heb ik als inspiratie gebruikt.
Ik heb de sketch gedraaid en op 12*12 inch gemaakt ipv A4.
** This week I made 2 layouts. On the SA-messageboard they provided a sketch and that I usewd as inspiration.
I turned the sketch and made it on 12x12 inch in stead of A4.

De layout gaat over hoe mijn IPhone me verbindt met mijn familie en hoe belangrijk dat juist nu voor me is.
** The layout tells about how my IPhone keeps me connected with my family and how important that is for me, certainly now.

De 2e layout is een scraplift, nav een online crop. Ik ben er niet helemaal tevreden over.

Gisteren kwam de Februari opdracht voor de One Little Word class online.

De opdracht is:

Word getuige en een observator van de manier

waarop je woord werkt in de wereld.

**Yesterday the February assignment for the One Little Word class got online.

The prompt is:

Become a witness and an observer of the way

your word works in the world.

Deze maand gaat over het zien van mijn woord door de lens van de camera. Waar betsaat het? Wat doet het? Hoe kan ik het vastleggen?

**This month is all about seeing my word through the lens of your camera. Where does it exist? What does it do? How can I capture it?

Dus ben ik vandaag gestart met de uitdaging en maakte deze 2 foto's:

**So I started with this challenge today and came up with these 2 pictures:

Een letterlijke foto met mijn woord LOVE er in.

**A literal picture with the word LOVE in it.

En een meer figuurlijke: de liefde voor mijn IPhone, die me in contact houdt met mijn geliefden. Zo belangrijk voor me op het moment. Hij houdt me op de hoogte van hoe het met mijn ouders gaat.

**And a figuratively one: the love for my IPhone, that keeps me in contact with my loved ones. So important to me at the moment! It keeps me posted about how my parents are doing.

OLW bloghop

My One Little Word is LOVE. After I read on Ali's blog about the class this year,, I was thinking what my word would be. LOVE came in mind, but I didn't know why. It kept coming back so I decided to go with it.
I wanted to focus on loving myself, taking me time, and showing my love to my loved ones.

Boy, how little did I know what was coming.
Just after Christmas my father was diagnosed with lymph gland cancer. So I need to show my love for him now, not knowing what will come.

In January I came to see how much LOVE there is around me. Colleagues who are so sweet, family and friends from my parents who are asking and thinking about us, and I can go on. When you look for it LOVE is everywhere!

A little Love | One Little Word Captured

Soms krijg je een zomaar klein beetje liefde. Net op het moment dat je het heel hard nodig hebt.

Met een dikke knuffel erbij.

Alsof zo'n 4 jarige voelt dat je het kunt gebruiken. Dank je wel Rosalie!

Lief zijn voor mezelf [OLW]

Een beetje lief zijn voor mijzelf! Dat is ook een onderdeel van mijn woord LOVE.
Dus een bos met prachtige rozen gekocht. In deze moeilijke zware tijden moet je goed voor jezelf zorgen.....

Dinsdag start de chemokuur bij pappa.

** A bit of love for myself! That is also part of my One Little Word LOVE.
So I bought some beautiful roses. In these hard difficult times, you have to look after yourself....

Tuesday the chemotherapy is starting for my dad.
