The pictures I used are from my trip to Barcelona in 2010. 

With my collegue Pauline I went up on the Sagrada Familia. It was so perfect.

We had a perfect time.

Hi you all,

I'm excited to tell you that I'm back as a designer at Sketchabilities! So glad to get a change to work with Karan her sketches once again. Thanks for having me Karan!!

Sketchabilities ~sketch #55

Here is another great sketch from Karan for Sketchabilities.

There is no layout from me this time, cause in the week we had to finish the layout, we got bad news about my dad. His cancer is back and it can't be cured.... So I decided to let this reveal go by.

Next time (September 30) will be my last layout for Sketchabilities. We can only do 2 consecutive terms, so I had to step aside to welcome new faces.

Hi you guys,

Another reveal from Sketchabilities. This is the sketch for this time:

And here is my take on it:

I used a picture I made this summer while we where away for a midweek on a bungalow park. There was a show with birds of prey and I was able to take some great pics.

The flower I made with a Gluber and some ribbon. Did you use one already? I just love them!!

Sketchabilities August 15 ~ sketch#53

 Here is one of those fabulous sketches of Karan again.

I used it this time to create the front of a canvas book. From my sis her wedding, as a gift for my parents.

 

 The canvas book is not ready yet. But... I'll show you when it is!

I used a lot of Tim Holtz distress ink for this project. 

The cover of the book is made from cardboard.

There is one Prima flower on it (right), the other flower is a very cheap one from a Hortensia of the Action.

The pearl dread is from the Xenos, just like the pearl brad in the center of the flower.

Hi,
Are you ready for another great sketch??
Here is sketch #52 from Sketchabilities. As always I love it!!

Here is my take on it. Again with paper for an envelop swap, this time from Marlies.

"Adventure is just a page away"
 

When I got this envelop the papers reminded me at once at some childrenbooks "Gouden boekjes" I did read when I was little. They look like this:

And that reminded me at all those times when I was reading as a kid. So I searched for a photo where I was reading. But... there wasn't one from me as a child. But by going through all the pics I found some of us going on holiday. And that was for me a great moment to read. I started reading the moment we get in the car and before we reached our destination I had already finished a big part of my first book....

So that is what my layout is all about! Good memories!!

Hi you all, enjoying your summer? I am!
Here is sketch #51 from Sketchabilities and I love it, as always!

 

For this sketch I did get an envelop from Judith with some cute papers in it. We are doing an envelop swap and I knew immediately that I wanted to use this papers for a Summer layout. And sketch #51 is perfect for that!
So I searched through my photo's and found some old ones, I really love. The pics are form the summer of 2006!

Also it is for the Creabest Scrapkampioenschap,  nr. 18: use 20 pearls on your layout. The pearls are in red and white, around the circles and on the title.

This is sketch #49 from Sketchabilities.
I worked the other way around this time. When I saw this sketch I thought it would be wonderful for the pics of my sis her wedding. But... she was married  June 8, last Wednesday.
So I made the layout  last week before the wedding and on Friday I put the pics on it.

So this is my take:

Quinn was having a sleep over at our house. His dream came true!

He went up "High in the Sky" with our BIL who is a flier.

What more can a ten year old boy wish for??

He had the day of his life!

I used two different ribbons.  One ribbon I  folded and attached brads which looks like screws.

I think that matched good with a boy layout.
