On the pic you see the decoratiosn I made for easter. Egg shells, filled with water and anemones. The eggs are placed on a saucer.

Fly away

 For this layout I used the sketch from Life Paper Scrapbook.

And I used MME papers, so I could join in the GDT contest on Facebook.

The journaling is tucked away in the envelop I made from a translucent card, that I stitched together. it's about the last days of my mom.

Wonderful isn't it?
I still wanted to make just one layout for my sisters wedding book, and this sketch was perfect for it.

The poppy's are inspired by Pinterest and are made from felt.
Just cut circles by hand in 3 different sizes. Put them on top of each other and stitch them together.
With a black pearl pen I made the seeds.

Journaling reads:
Before leaving to "De Meijerhorst" just a check if the hair is sitting alright.
Of course also some pics of the 2 sisters together.

Sketchabilities ~sketch #55

Here is another great sketch from Karan for Sketchabilities.

There is no layout from me this time, cause in the week we had to finish the layout, we got bad news about my dad. His cancer is back and it can't be cured.... So I decided to let this reveal go by.

Next time (September 30) will be my last layout for Sketchabilities. We can only do 2 consecutive terms, so I had to step aside to welcome new faces.

Another reveal from Sketchabilities. This is the sketch for this time:

I used a picture I made this summer while we where away for a midweek on a bungalow park. There was a show with birds of prey and I was able to take some great pics.

The flower I made with a Gluber and some ribbon. Did you use one already? I just love them!!

Get well

I wanted to make a Get well card for a colleague that is in the hospital.  

So the card sketch from Cosmo Cricket was just what I needed!

Sketchabilities August 15 ~ sketch#53

 Here is one of those fabulous sketches of Karan again.

I used it this time to create the front of a canvas book. From my sis her wedding, as a gift for my parents.

 

 The canvas book is not ready yet. But... I'll show you when it is!

I used a lot of Tim Holtz distress ink for this project. 

The cover of the book is made from cardboard.

There is one Prima flower on it (right), the other flower is a very cheap one from a Hortensia of the Action.

The pearl dread is from the Xenos, just like the pearl brad in the center of the flower.

With my (first) August kit from the Scrapbook Nook, 

I made this layout for the sketch challenge from My Minds Eye.

I used the collection Lime Twist. 

Things I added are the thickers, white cardstock, flower, glimmermist and distressink.

It's a girl!

Gisteren kregen we een geboortekaartje en natuurlijk heb ik even een kaartje gemaakt om te versturen aan de gelukkige ouders en broertjes.

Sketchabilities July 30 ~ sketch#52

Hi,
Are you ready for another great sketch??
Here is sketch #52 from Sketchabilities. As always I love it!!

Here is my take on it. Again with paper for an envelop swap, this time from Marlies.

"Adventure is just a page away"
 

When I got this envelop the papers reminded me at once at some childrenbooks "Gouden boekjes" I did read when I was little. They look like this:

And that reminded me at all those times when I was reading as a kid. So I searched for a photo where I was reading. But... there wasn't one from me as a child. But by going through all the pics I found some of us going on holiday. And that was for me a great moment to read. I started reading the moment we get in the car and before we reached our destination I had already finished a big part of my first book....

So that is what my layout is all about! Good memories!!

Bye school, hello Summer!

Kevin had deze week de laatste dag op de Basisschool. Na de vakantie gaat 'ie naar de middelbare school.
Een bijzonder moment, waarop een periode wordt afgesloten en een nieuwe gaat beginnen.
En daar hoort een kaartje bij!
** Kevin had his last week at Primary school. After the summer holiday he goes to High school. A special moment, in which a period comes to an end an a new one begins. And that deserves a card!

En ook voor dit kaartje heb ik een sketch van Let's Scrap gebruikt.
